ABSTRACT
Nowadays, social networks play a determinant role in our everyday life. They are usefull both in comunication between peers and the fast and easy distribution of knowledge. They have also allowed that interpersonal comunication to become more efitient.
They have been used in education from three different perspectives: as a complement for classroom courses as an enviroment for education and as a forum for the transmition of knowledge. By this formal education (academics) and informal (outside of the institution) merge to achieve an integral education for the individual.
