Sarcopenia is a little-known but very common condition in older adults: it involves the progressive loss of muscle mass and strength, which can seriously affect mobility, independence, and quality of life. This text tells the story of Don Luis, a man who, noticing how his body changed over the years, decided to confront sarcopenia with information, exercise, and proper nutrition. It also highlights the historical contributions of those who advanced the study of aging through geriatric medicine. Through this story, readers are invited to reflect on aging, muscle health, and the importance of promoting an active and dignified life for older adults.
