Abstract

Since the dawn of our species, the climate has had several effects on us. There is evidence that it has influenced the great steps of human beings on this planet. For example, in the evolution of hominids, in the modification of the brain and body size, and in the invention of agriculture, since it required climatic stability. Even the founding and fall of empires have been governed by alterations in climate. In the present moment, for the first time in the history of humanity, we are the cause of a new climate change, and this can have important consequences on our lifestyle. Since we will have to adapt to it and learn from our history, in this article I will share some of these climate-related key events in the history of humanity.
