Bolaño and the Ethics of Literature: Between Marginality and Dignity

This essay analyzes the ethical, political, and aesthetic commitment expressed by Roberto Bolaño through his literary work, particularly in relation to the infrarrealist movement. It explores how ethics and aesthetics merge in his literary proposal, highlighting his stance on marginality, criticism, and dignity. Additionally, interviews and key texts are reviewed to understand his views on writing and poetry. In conclusion, it is argued that Bolaño promoted an ethics of literature that challenged the established literary system and valued the dignity of the writer in their struggle for literary truth.
