This paper will compare, from the perspective of Digital Humanities, online and onsite education regarding the development of the social interaction between the teacher and their students during the process of an online humanities course. It will also address the differences between the problems and challenges of teaching humanities faced by teachers on both formats. To conclude, a concrete proposal to address the problems faced by online teachers through the use of free online educational resources will be presented, based on my own recent experience of four years, working as an online Philosophy and Aesthetics teacher for an International Learning Art and Humanities ONG.
