Revista Digital Universitaria: origin and evolution of a digital experiment

Abstract

The Revista Digital Universitaria (University Digital Magazine, RDU), published since May 31, 2000, celebrates with this month’s publication its 15th anniversary of sharing the university chores. This is a special date for a publication that was born in a digital way and, today, is well positioned, among other reasons, with the number of visits it receives and the index where it belongs, such as the Conacyt’s Índice de Revistas Mexicanas de Divulgación Científica y Tecnológica (The Index of Mexican Science and Technology Divulgation Magazines) from October 2012 to the day. In 2015 we can reiterate that the RDU is a successful project that has taken advantage of the multimedia resources. Besides, every time it pays more attention to the contents of interest and actuality in diverse fields of knowledge.
