Hope to face the climate emergency
Keywords:
climate change, greenhouse gases, green technologies, global diet, emissions reductionsAbstract
Climate change is now upon us. The last ipcc report clearly shows the plethora of measurable impacts that have already occurred. This climate emergency pushes for an urgent agenda of individual, national and global actions. Luckily, it seems that the first steps for this change in actions are already occurring: from national reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, to changes in global dietary arrangements, and the substitutions of old polluting technologies. These global measures are on the rise, shedding a light of hope: that we might be capable of shifting our current catastrophic course.
