Behind the scenes of the human eye: anatomy, common issues and solutions

“Your eyes, how beautiful they are,” what a lovely phrase that most of us have said at least once to someone. But how is the human eye? How do we see? Why do many people need to use glasses, whether they are eyeglasses or contact lenses? In this brief article, the main parts of the human eye and their function are described. It explains how visualization is possible, that is, how we see. Likewise, the most common visual disorders, such as myopia, hypermetropia, and astigmatism, are detailed, and it explains how they can be corrected with lenses. An alternative procedure, such as laser surgery, is also mentioned. The importance of regular eye examinations by the corresponding professionals, whether ophthalmologists or optometrists, is emphasized.
