Relevant technical aspects in the transition of the journals to the electronic environment

This paper addresses some issues that are have great relevance to academic and scientific journals that are going through the transition to the digital environment, building upon the experience of the UNAM with the OJS platform, focusing primarily on the necessary characteristics to select a content management system, the impact of the transition in the editorial workflow, and the diversity of formats and languages presented on these platforms.
