Learning Evaluation in Online Education

Information and communication technologies (ICT), have influenced education in a great way and will keep doing it in the future, hence the importance for education professionals to analyze the various facets of the binomial technology-education, specially those tasks related with the evaluation of online education. Learning evaluation is essential for the evaluation of the teaching-learning process and the acquisition of meaningful learning by the students. In the case of online education, much has been written regarding the planning and design of the contents, as well as the various technological tools available to this educational modality; however, there is little information about online evaluation, so in this article an analysis is made of the evaluation process and aspects to be considered in the materialization of the evaluation through the use of ICT.
