In a journey through the small modifications in the value system at the beginning of the Enlightenment, a brief review of Joel Mokyr’s text “Attitudes, Aptitudes, and the Roots of the Great Enrichment” is made, as well as a reflection about the effects that the attitudinal and aptitude change meant in ecological and social terms.
