Abstract

Human beings are a species that, biologically and culturally, have demonstrated their ability to adapt to changing living conditions. While many of these situations have been generated by humans themselves and their predatory nature—manifested in phenomena such as global warming, famine, or the recently overcome pandemic, whose effects are exacerbated in a social world filled with inequalities and inequities that have brought us to the brink of extinction as a species—it is also fair to appreciate and nurture what humanity has created. Like music and other arts, and each of the actions of solidarity, empathy, and love that emerge in each of us daily and in the most difficult times, and which essentially reflect the human spirit and its transformative capacity...
