We and nature: a single ecosystem

Abstract

As humans, it is sometimes easy to distance ourselves from what is happening around us. Due to the development of science and technology, it has become easier to obtain our livelihood and our protection from the elements. We no longer have to collect fruits, go hunting for food, or seek shelter, for example. However, despite the great technological achievements, we are not disconnected from the environment. We depend on it: on the resources it provides, on the changes it imposes on us. Thus, on this occasion in the University Digital Magazine we evoke some ways in which we are connected with the environment, how we are one with it, part of the same ecosystem.
